Chasing Trout at Sunrise: An Exhilarating Lake Ontario Angling Excursion

This morning's Private 6 Hour Morning Fishing Trip out of Wright's Landing Marina on Lake Ontario was a bit of a grind at first, but Don and Lexi hung in there and we ended up landing some great fish. June is prime time for chasing Sea Trout and Rainbow Trout on the lake, and the weather was on our side - a bit of rain clearing up to give us some sunny skies by mid-morning. We met up at the marina around 5:30 AM and got set up with the rods and tackle. We started the day trolling and working some light tackle rigs, trying to find the active fish. It took a little while, but eventually the rods started bending and the action picked up. Don and Lexi both hooked into some nice Sea Trout, putting up a great fight as we worked to get them in the boat. In between the Trout bites, we also managed to land a few solid Rainbow Trout, making for a diverse mix of species. The fish seemed to be stacked up in certain areas, so we just kept moving around, adjusting our presentation to find the hot spots. Even when the fishing was a bit tough, the vibe on the boat stayed positive. Don and Lexi are seasoned anglers, so they knew how to keep their cool and stick with it. Plus, the scenery on the lake is always amazing, so we had plenty to take in between the bites. Watching the sun burn off the morning mist, seeing the birds working the water for baitfish - it's just a great environment to be in, win or lose on the fishing front. All in all, it was a really fun trip out on Lake Ontario.
